Pavlos Polakis

Pavlos Polakis (Greek:Παύλος Πολάκης; born in Sfakia) is a Greek surgeon and politician.

From 2010, Polakis has been the mayor of the city of Sfakia on the island of Crete, being reelected in 2014. In the January 2015 legislative election, he became a member of the Hellenic Parliament for Chania. He was appointed to the First Cabinet of Alexis Tsipras as Alternate Minister of the Interior and Administrative Reconstruction. Reelected in the September 2015 legislative election, Polakis was appointed Alternate Minister of Health in the Second Tsipras Cabinet.
