杰弗里·乔叟（英语：Geoffrey Chaucer，1343年－1400年），英国中世纪作家，被誉为英国中世纪最杰出的诗人，也是第一位葬在西敏寺诗人角的诗人。

杰弗里·乔叟为有名的作家、哲学家、炼金术士及天文学家，曾和十岁的儿子路易斯合著有关星盘的科学论文。杰弗里·乔叟也担任过官僚，朝臣和外交官。

杰弗里·乔叟的代表作《坎特伯雷故事集》摆脱了旧时代诗作的脱离现实，矫揉造作的风格，通过塑造三十多个个性鲜明的人物，揭露了僧侣阶层的腐朽，严肃的考虑妇女问题，反映了当时各色各样的人的生活和社会的全貌，因此杰弗里·乔叟被认为是英国中世纪文学和文艺复兴文学之间承上启下的人物。

Geoffrey Chaucer (/ˈtʃɔːsər/; c. 1343 – 25 October 1400), known as the Father of English literature, is widely considered the greatest English poet of the Middle Ages and was the first poet to be buried in Poets' Corner of Westminster Abbey.

While he achieved fame during his lifetime as an author, philosopher, and astronomer, composing a scientific treatise on the astrolabe for his ten-year-old son Lewis, Chaucer also maintained an active career in the civil service as a bureaucrat, courtier and diplomat. Among his many works are The Book of the Duchess, The House of Fame, The Legend of Good Women and Troilus and Criseyde. He is best known today for The Canterbury Tales.
