阿拉伯联合共和国（الجمهورية العربية المتحدة‎，简称阿联），是1958年2月1日由埃及与叙利亚联合组成的泛阿拉伯国家。伊拉克因局势不稳而没有加入。1958年3月8日，阿拉伯联合共和国同也门王国（后来的阿拉伯也门共和国）组成邦联性质的阿拉伯合众国。由于埃及的霸权主义政策，1961年9月28日叙利亚宣布退出阿拉伯联合共和国，1961年12月26日阿拉伯合众国也宣布解散。但埃及仍然保留阿拉伯联合共和国的国号直到1971年9月2日为止。

值得留意的是，直到现在，埃及、叙利亚及伊拉克三国的国旗与国徽仍然非常相似，都是从阿拉伯联合共和国的国旗及国徽演变而来；就连也门的旗帜也与共和国的国旗式样相似。

The United Arab Republic (UAR; Arabic:الجمهورية العربية المتحدة‎ al-Jumhūrīyah al-‘Arabīyah al-Muttaḥidah) was a short-lived political union between Egypt and Syria. The union began in 1958 and existed until 1961, when Syria seceded from the union after the 1961 Syrian coup d'état. Egypt continued to be known officially as the "United Arab Republic" until 1971. The president was Gamal Abdel Nasser. It was a member of the United Arab States, a loose confederation with North Yemen which in 1961 dissolved along with the Republic.
