Trotwood is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. The population was 24,431 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is served by the Trotwood-Madison City School District. It is named for Betsy Trotwood, the Charles Dickens character.
