白令海峡（或译白林海峡）是位于亚洲最东点的迭日涅夫角（169°43' W）和美洲最西点的威尔士王子角（168°05' W）之间的海峡，位于大约北纬65° 40'，宽约35-86千米，深度在30-50米之间。这个海峡连接了楚科奇海（北冰洋的一部分）和白令海（太平洋的一部分）。它的名字来自丹麦探险家的维他斯·白令。白令海峡正中间有代奥米德群岛。

2008年美国总统大选时，共和党副总统候选人、阿拉斯加州州长莎拉·佩林曾表示因为自己可在阿拉斯加从白令海峡望见俄罗斯领土所以有外交经验，成为笑话。

The Bering Strait (Russian:Берингов пролив, Beringov proliv, Yupik: Imakpik) is a strait connecting the Pacific and Arctic oceans between Russia and the US state of Alaska. Named after Vitus Bering, a Danish-born explorer in the service of the Russian Empire, it lies slightly south of the Arctic Circle at about 65° 40' N latitude, with the present US-Russia east-west boundary at 168° 58' 37" W.
