Lipstatin

Lipstatin is a potent, irreversible inhibitor of pancreatic lipase. It is a natural product, and was first isolated from the Actinobacterium Streptomyces toxytricini.

The popular antiobesity drug orlistat (trade names Xenical and alli) is a saturated derivative of lipstatin.
