电脑辅助审核技术（Computer-assisted audit techniques，缩写 CAATs），是应用电脑来进行审核进程的自动化。其最大的特色是可以在个人电脑上操作，审核人员可以至受查单位系统下载文件至个人电脑再使用电脑辅助审核软件进行测试，其主要是让审核人员能更独立地分析应用系统的数据档，依据信息系统的处理逻辑，利用通用审核软件进行平行仿真试算或是分析，再从信息系统本身产出相关报表，将之与审核人员试算分析的结果进行比对，针对其中的差异在进行了解、分析、试算。ICAEA国际电脑审核教育协会定义：泛指使用电脑辅助审核工具 CAATs来进行审核工作的方法与进程称为电脑审核(Computer Auditing)。

'Computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) or computer-assisted audit tools and techniques (CAATTs) is a growing field within the audit profession. CAATs is the practice of using computers to automate the audit processes. CAATs normally includes using basic office productivity software such as spreadsheet, word processors and text editing programs and more advanced software packages involving use statistical analysis and business intelligence tools.
