塔防游戏（英语：Tower Defense Games）即指一类通过在地图上建造炮塔或类似建筑物，以阻止游戏中敌人抵达堡垒的即时战略电脑游戏。一般而言，敌人并不会主动攻击炮塔。当敌人被消灭时，玩家可一获得奖金或积分，用于购买砲塔或升级砲塔。敌人以一波波进攻，大部分塔防会在一波后暂停以让玩家以积分升级或增加炮塔。塔防约有50波或更多。玩家一般有数量生命，如果砲塔不能消灭敌人，敌人到达指定地方后，就会减少生命。随着玩家提升炮塔能力，怪物的数量、能力也会提升。一般而言怪物的提升速度比炮塔快。此类游戏的目标是生存若干时间或尽可能生存下去。

Tower defense (or informally TD) is a type of strategy video game where the goal is to defend a player's territories or possessions by obstructing enemy attackers, usually achieved by placing defensive structures on or along their path of attack. This typically means building a variety of different structures that serve to automatically block, impede, attack or destroy enemies. Tower defense is seen as a subgenre of real-time strategy video games, due to its real-time origins, though many modern tower defense games include aspects of turn-based strategy. Strategic choice and positioning of defensive elements is an essential strategy of the genre.
