That day David fled from Saul and went to Achish king of Gath.

那日大卫起来，躲避扫罗，逃到迦特王亚吉那里。

At this, he saddled his donkey and went to Achish at Gath in search of his slaves. So Shimei went away and brought the slaves back from Gath.

示每起来，备上驴，往迦特到亚吉那里去找他的仆人，就从迦特带他仆人回来。

But three years later, two of Shimei's slaves ran off to Achish son of Maakah, king of Gath, and Shimei was told, " Your slaves are in Gath" .

过了三年，示每的两个仆人逃到迦特王玛迦的儿子亚吉那里去。有人告诉示每说：" 你的仆人在迦特。"

Whenever David attacked an area, he did not leave a man or woman alive, but took sheep and cattle, donkeys and camels, and clothes. Then he returned to Achish.

大卫击杀那地的人，无论男女都没有留下一个；又夺获牛、羊、骆驼、驴并衣服，回来见亚吉。

David and his men settled in Gath with Achish. Each man had his family with him, and David had his two wives: Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail of Carmel, the widow of Nabal.

大卫和他的两个妻，就是耶斯列人亚希暖和作过拿八妻的迦密人亚比该，并跟随他的人，连各人的眷属，都住在迦特亚吉那里。

Then David said to Achish, " If I have found favor in your eyes, let a place be assigned to me in one of the country towns, that I may live there. Why should your servant live in the royal city with you" ?

大卫对亚吉说：" 我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你在京外的城邑中赐我一个地方居住。仆人何必与王同住京都呢？"
