赛艇（又称划艇，Rowing）泛指控制艇或船的水上竞赛。

艇只是自古以来人类用作运输、捕鱼和战争的交通工具；以艇只来比赛的历史亦非常悠久，据说在十四世纪的意大利威尼斯，已有船夫以划艇竞技。

时至今日，中国人在端午节的赛龙舟也是赛艇运动之一。

赛艇与皮划艇是两个不同的比赛项目。

Boat racing is a sport in which boats, or other types of watercraft, race on water. Boat racing powered by oars is recorded as having occurred in ancient Egypt, and it is likely that people have engaged in races involving boats and other water-borne craft for as long as such watercraft have existed.
