Pathmark

Pathmark is a currently dormant supermarket chain that was based in the Northeastern United States. Founded in 1968 when a member of the ShopRite retailer's cooperative broke away to go into business for itself, Pathmark went out of business in 2015 following the bankruptcy and final liquidation of its parent company and former competitor, The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company. Its intellectual property is currently owned by Allegiance Retail Services, a cooperative that supplies products to ten independent grocery chains and is responsible for distributing private label goods for Foodtown.
