巴巴里狮（Panthera leo leo）是狮子的一个亚种，但已于野外灭绝。现时在欧洲只有少于40只饲养的巴巴里狮，全球则少于一百只。

巴巴里狮以往分布在北非，由摩洛哥至埃及。野外最后的巴巴里狮是于1922年在阿特拉斯山脉被射杀。相信牠们不单在野外灭绝，连同饲养的也都已经消失。不过，在一些动物园或马戏团内可能仍有巴巴里狮的存在。

巴巴里狮通常被认为是狮子亚种中最重的。雄狮重180-272公斤，雌狮则重130-180公斤，约有孟加拉虎的重量。一些历史悠久的帐目指一些雄性巴巴里狮可重达270公斤,一些学者却指牠们的重量被夸大了，即便是圈养的巴巴里狮的样本太小也未必能够达到这大小，无法断定是最大的狮子亚种，可能只有如东非狮子的大小。

The Barbary lion (Panthera leo leo), also known as the Atlas lion, was an African lion population native to North Africa, including the Atlas Mountains, that is now considered extinct in the wild. Pease referred to the Barbary lion as the North African lion, and accounted that the population has been diminished since the mid-19th century following the introduction of firearms and bounties for shooting them. The last recorded shooting of a wild Barbary lion took place in Morocco in 1942 near Tizi n'Tichka. Small groups of Barbary lions may have survived in Algeria until the early 1960s and in Morocco until the mid-1960s.
