铁矿(英文Iron ore)为铁的原料，铁矿系指含铁矿物，可用于提炼单质生铁、炼钢（占98%）等诸多用途。常见铁矿都为铁氧化物，大多呈暗灰色、亮黄色、深紫色或铁锈色。

3, 69.9% Fe), goethite (FeO(OH), 62.9% Fe), limonite (FeO(OH).n(H2O)) or siderite (FeCO3, 48.2% Fe).
