奄美群岛
奄美群岛（日语：奄美群岛／あまみぐんとう），为琉球群岛北部（萨南群岛）的一个群岛，位于日本九州岛的南方、冲绳群岛的北方，行政区划属于日本鹿儿岛县大岛支厅。
地名「奄美」是来自过去琉球王国神话中的女神阿摩美久（アマミキヨ）。

Amami Islands 奄美群岛
The Amami Islands(奄美群岛Amami-guntō) is an archipelago in the Satsunan Islands, which is in turn part of the Ryukyu Archipelago. Administratively, the group belongs Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The Geospatial Information Authority of Japan and the Japan Coast Guard agreed on February 15, 2010, to use the name of Amami-guntō(奄美群岛) for the Amami Islands. Prior to that, Amami-shotō(奄美诸岛) was also used. The name of Amami is probably cognate with Amamikiyo(アマミキヨ) or Amamiko(アマミコ), a goddess often featured in Okinawan legends.
