周日运动
周日运动亦称周日视运动，是描述地球上的观测者每天观测到天空上的天体明显的视运动状态，在近极区尤为明显。这由于地球绕轴自转使然，使得所有天体都绕着这个轴（从观测者眼中即绕着北极星）作圆周运动，这个圆圈称周日圈，完成一圈运动需时23小时56分4.09秒（即一整个恒星日）。而日、月之东升西落也是周日运动之体现。

Diurnal motion 周日运动Diurnal motion (latin diurnus ′daily′, from dies ′day′) is an astronomical term referring to the apparent daily motion of stars around the Earth, or more precisely around the two celestial poles. It is caused by the Earth's rotation on its axis, so every star apparently moves on a circle, that is called the diurnal circle. The time for one complete rotation is 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.09 seconds (1 sidereal day). The first experimental demonstration of this motion was undertaken by Léon Foucault. |
