规模不经济（Diseconomies of scale）随着企业生产规模扩大，而边际效益却渐渐下降，甚至跌破零、成为负值。造成此现象的原因，可能是内部结构因规模扩大而更趋复杂，这种复杂性会消耗内部资源，而此耗损使规模扩大本应带来的好处相互消减，因此出现了规模不经济的现象。

经济学中，有总成本曲线和平均成本曲线，这两条曲线都是凹向上的。这两条曲线的交点意味着最佳规模的存在。在达到这个最佳规模之前，规模越大越好，称之为「规模经济」；在达到最佳规模之后，规模越大越不经济，就是「规模不经济」。

Diseconomies of scale are the forces that cause larger firms and governments to produce goods and services at increased per-unit costs. The concept is the opposite of economies of scale.
