减数分裂（英语：meiosis）是生物细胞中染色体数目减半的分裂方式。性细胞分裂时，染色体只复制一次，细胞连续分裂两次，染色体数目减半的一种特殊分裂方式。减数分裂不仅是保证物种染色体数目稳定的机制，同且也是物种适应环境变化不断进化的机制。 例如:植物的有性生殖，大孢子母细胞→大孢子，此阶段需要进行减数分裂。
