魔鳉为辐鳍鱼纲鲤齿目鲤齿亚目鲤齿鳉科的其中一种，被IUCN列为次级保育类动物，分布于北美洲美国内华达州Nye郡魔洞的淡水流域，体长可达3公分，栖息在石灰岩洞穴的中底层水域。

Devils Hole pupfish 魔鱂
The Devils Hole pupfish (Cyprinodon diabolis) is a species of fish native to Devils Hole, a geothermal (92 °F or 33 °C), aquifer-fed pool within a limestone cavern, in the Amargosa Pupfish Station of the Desert National Wildlife Refuge Complex east of Death Valley National Park. It has been described as the world's rarest fish, and possibly evolved only a few hundred years ago.
