Akaryocyte

Akaryocytes, also known as akaryotes or acaryotes, are cells without a nucleus. The most common type of akaryocytes are red blood cells. The name is derived from the Greek prefix "a-", meaning "without" and the Greek "karyo-", meaning "nut" or "kernel".
