沙漠鬣蜥    沙漠鬣蜥（学名Dipsosaurus dorsalis）是索诺兰沙漠及莫哈韦沙漠很普遍的一种蜥蜴。牠们也有在加利福尼亚湾的几个岛屿出现。 沙漠鬣蜥最初是由斯宾塞·富勒顿·贝尔德（Spencer Fullerton Baird）及Charles Frédéric Girard于1853年所描述，并分类在环颈蜥属中。后来艾德华·哈洛威（Edward Hallowell）于两年后将之更名为现时的学名。属名是以希腊文的「口渴」及「蜥蜴」组成而来。种小名是来自拉丁文的「背部」，意指沙漠鬣蜥背上一排很大的鳞片。Dipsosaurus属是单型的，即其下只有一个物种。
