体香剂是一类作用在人体皮肤上的物质，来减低因排汗而产生的体味。出汗之所以有异味是因为汗液中包含了人体中分泌的水、氨基酸、脂质等物质，细菌在汗液的环境下极易繁殖，并分解汗液中的有机化合物，从而产生异味。

体香剂一般采用喷雾喷射或者走珠涂抹的方式进行使用。

止汗剂（或称抑汗剂）是体香剂的一种，其原理是减少出汗量。另外有些能抑制细菌生长或杀菌。许多体香剂有香水，用来掩盖异味。但如果只用香水，香水的份量必须十分多。

体香剂通常喷在腋下。在许多人身上，腋下是汗味最强烈的地方。腋下空气不流通，蒸发低；而湿度高，温度暖，通合细菌生长。而体毛增加了表面面积，令细菌有更多生长空间。
