树蹄兔属 动物共有三种：

原产于非洲和亚洲西部，后足第一和第三趾上有小蹄，中趾有爪，以植物为食物，栖息于树上，夜间活动，独居，动作敏捷，善于用爪垫攀缘。体重只有4-5千克。但发现渐新世有相当现代马这么大的蹄兔化石，可能是由古代有蹄类动物进化出的一支旁系。
