簕竹属（学名：Bambusa），又称刺竹属，是竹亚科竹族中的一个大属，有约37种和多数培育变种，原产于亚洲的热带和亚热带的季风湿热地区，多数品种植株矮小丛生，也有几种高大品种，有多种园艺观赏品种。在中国，主要生长在长江以南各地，但目前许多观赏品种已经被引种到北方，以及欧洲、美洲各地。

Bambusa is a large genus of clumping bamboos.
Most species of Bambusa are rather large, with numerous branches emerging from the nodes, and one or two much larger than the rest. The branches can be as long as 11 m (35 ft). They are native to Southeast Asia, China, ******, the Himalayas, New Guinea, Melanesia, and the Northern Territory of Australia. They are also reportedly naturalized in other regions, e.g. Africa, Latin America, and various oceanic islands.
