Darr: A Violent Love Story (Hindi:डर, Urdu:ڈر, translation: Fear) is a 1993 Indian romantic psychological thriller, directed by Yash Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films starring Sunny Deol, Juhi Chawla and Shahrukh Khan in the lead roles.
The film was well received by critics and audiences, earning the film and its actors accolades. It has attained classic status over the years and is regarded as one of Chopra's best. It was later remade in Kannada as Preethse. The film inspired a real life kidnapping of a Snapdeal executive in NCR region of India. James Foley's 1996 Hollywood film Fear was inspired from Darr.
