Once it had become Roman and its inhabitants began to speak Latin, Dacia became Romania.

Around 170 CE, the Hasdingi, under the rule of  Kings Raus and Rapt, became the allies of Rome, and they were allowed to settle in the  province of Dacia, roughly modern-day Romania.
