活性己糖相关化合物（AHCC, Active Hexose Correlated Compound,在**又名高级担子菌菌丝体提出物）含有丰富的α－葡聚糖营养补充成分，由担子菌科香菇（Lentinula edodes）的菌丝体制造，且这不是核可的药物。AHCC最初目的为降血压。然而东京大学的研究团队发现AHCC对先天免疫系统的影响益处深远，并于1992年发表研究成果，尽管不是发表在索引科学期刊。这份文献中，研究者发现AHCC有效促进癌症病患体内自然杀手细胞（NK）之活性，并强化杀手T细胞和细胞因子（干扰素，IL-12，TNF-α）。

Active Hexose Correlated Compound (AHCC) is an alpha-glucan rich nutritional supplement produced from the mycelia of shiitake (Lentinula edodes) of the basidiomycete family of mushrooms. The compound is a subject of research as a potential anti-cancer agent but has not been conclusively found to treat cancer or any other disease, and there are conflict of interest concerns about the published research. AHCC is a popular alternative medicine in Japan.
