Credit Bureaus are collection agencies (there are hundreds across the globe), which is not the same as a Credit rating agency. It is a consumer reporting agency in the United States, credit reference agency in the United Kingdom, a credit reporting body in Australia, and credit information company (CIC) in India — a company that collects information from various sources and provides consumer credit information on individual consumers for a variety of uses.
