粒子物理学中，色荷(color charge)是夸克与胶子的一种性质，在量子色动力学（QCD）的架构底下，与它们之间的强交互作用有关。色荷与粒子的电荷呈模拟关系，但因为QCD的数学复杂性，色荷与电荷有许多技术上的不同。夸克与胶子的「颜色」与视觉上的色彩无关，而仅仅是对于一种表现上几乎不超过原子核大小范围的性质的一项奇特名称。「颜色」这个词单纯是因为色荷有三种类形，模拟于三原色；相对地，电荷就只有一种类型（但其中尚有正负之分）。

1964年，夸克的存在被提出之后不久，奥斯卡·格林柏格（Oscar Greenberg）引入了色荷的概念，试图解释几个夸克如何能够共同组成强子，处于在其它方面完全相同的状态但却仍满足泡利不兼容原理。这概念后来证实有用并且成为夸克模型的一部分。此后从1970年代，QCD开始发展，并构成粒子物理学中标准模型的重要成份。

Note that the "color charge" of quarks and gluons is completely unrelated to visual pe****tion of color. The term color became popular simply because the charge responsible for the strong force between particles, can be analogized to the three primary colors of human vision: red, green, and blue. Another color scheme is "red, yellow, and blue", using paint, rather than light as the pe****tible analogy.
