转位是指音在音程中的互换，音程中的两个音如果低音向上提高八度，或高音向下移动八度，构成的音程称为转位音程。一个和弦中除根音以外的音作为最低音，则称为转位和弦。

音程转位后相知会变化，大音程转位后会变成小音程，小音程转为大音程，增音程转为减音程，减音程转位增音程，完全音程转位后不变化。

和弦转位，三和弦中三音为低音是第一转位，五音为低音是第二转位，共有两个转位。七和弦有三个转位，以三音为低音是第一转位，五音为低音是第二转位，七音为低音是第三转位。
