Methods Clinical and follow up data were summarized for 42 children with adrenogenital syndrome, including 30 cases of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and 12 cases of adrenal cortex tumor.

先天性肾上腺增生症是一种由于缺乏羟化酵素而导致脑下垂体的过度刺激，最后引起的肾上腺增生肥大疾病。此会造成男性荷尔蒙过度分泌，引致男婴性早熟而导致身材矮小；女婴尚未出生，阴蒂而肥厚增生，出生时容易被误认为男婴，造成所称的「阴阳人」。
其发生率为1/10000至1/15000，但由于男性症状不显著而常被忽略，实际数字比较少。
遗传方面，其遗传方式为体染色体隐性遗传，通常皆因第六号染色体上的羟化酵素基因有缺陷。
