光盘数据库

光盘数据库（英文：Compact Disc Database，简称CDDB）是一种利用音乐播放程序，透过互联网找寻音乐光盘信息的在线数据库，由Gracenote公司授权发行。

光盘数据库主要用于音乐播放程序或CD音效截取软件。当该音乐CD的光盘作者信息，无法被前述软件辨识时，用户便可透过音乐播放软件（如：iTunes、Winamp等）填入该片音乐CD的著作信息（如：歌曲名称、作曲者、发行公司等）。

音乐CD文件（.cda），实际上并未包含任何有关光盘名称与音轨名称的信息，因此需要有一个可以让用户提供信息的在线数据库，以利当光盘使用于先进设备并联网时，该光盘的信息可以被辨识。CD文本（CD-Text）便是解决前述问题的其中一种方案。
