Carnmore (Irish:An Carn Mór) is located at the southern end of the parish of Claregalway, approximately 8 miles (13 km) east of Galway city in County Galway, Ireland. Carnmore lies within the Gaeltacht although the vast majority of residents there use English as their first language. The area is most widely known for being the location of Galway Airport and also for its Senior Hurling team.
