亚松森（西班牙语：Asunción）是巴拉圭首都，人口约1,639,000（2002年），位于南纬25.2667°，西经57.6667°。亚松森是巴拉圭的主要港口和工业、文化中心，工业主要有食品工业、纺织工业和烟草工业。

亚松森始建于1537年8月15日，是南美洲历史最悠久的城市，原名为Nuestra Señora de la Asunción（升天的圣母），被称为南美洲的“城市之母”。1865年巴拉圭战争后曾经被巴西军队占领，直到1876年。

英雄祠堂是仿照巴黎的荣军院缩小建造的，附近就是市中心，1970年代和1980年代扩建乌鲁瓜亚广场，拆毁了大部分旧城，但目前还保留的部分旧城区仍然非常破败，夜晚在这里比较危险。郊区是比较好的区域，是巴拉圭精英们的居住区，有大型商场，购物中心。

The metropolitan area, called Gran Asunción, includes the cities of San Lorenzo, Fernando de la Mora, Lambaré, Luque, Mariano Roque Alonso, Ñemby, San Antonio, Limpio, Capiatá and Villa Elisa, which are part of the Central Department. The Asunción metropolitan area has more than 2 million inhabitants. The Municipality of Asunción is listed on the Asunción Stock Exchange, as BVPASA: MUA, a unique feature of any city.
