降钙素 Calcitonin

降钙素（英语：Calcitonin，又译为抑钙激素）是一种含有32个胺基酸的直线型多肽类激素，在人体里是由甲状腺的滤泡旁细胞（parafollicular cells，又称C细胞）制造。在鱼类、爬虫类、鸟类、哺乳类身上都有发现这种激素。主要功能是降低血钙。但降钙素通常对于调节人体血液中钙离子(Ca)的恒定并没有很显著的重要性。

Calcitonin (also known as thyrocalcitonin) is a 32-amino acid linear polypeptide hormone that is produced in humans primarily by the parafollicular cells (also known as C-cells) of the thyroid, and in many other animals in the ultimobranchial body. It acts to reduce blood calcium (Ca), opposing the effects of parathyroid hormone (PTH).
