碳酸钙，俗称灰石、石灰石、石粉、大理石、方解石，是一种化合物，化学式为CaCO₃，呈碱性，在纯水中溶解度甚小 (K_sp = 4.8×10)，可溶于酸中。

碳酸钙在地球上存量丰富，并以许多形式存在于岩石、矿物与生物体，如: 霰石、方解石、白垩、石灰岩、大理石、石灰华。亦为动物骨骼或外壳(如:爬虫类与双壳纲)的主要成份。碳酸钙亦为水垢的主要成分，通常借由水中的钙离子与碳酸根离子结合所生成的，时常发生在水质硬度较高的地区。碳酸钙亦为农用石灰中的有效成分之一，可用于中和土壤酸性，但过度使用也有造成土壤盐碱化的风险。 在医学应用方面，碳酸钙亦是常用的钙质来源，也常做为抑酸剂中的有效成分之一。

Calcium carbonate is a chemical compound with the formula CaCO₃. It is a common substance found in rocks as the minerals calcite and aragonite (most notably as limestone) and is the main component of pearls and the shells of marine organisms,snails, and eggs. Calcium carbonate is the active ingredient in agricultural lime and is created when calcium ions in hard water react with carbonate ions to create limescale. It is medicinally used as a calcium supplement or as an antacid, but excessive consumption can be hazardous.
