腧穴又称穴位，是中国传统医学在人体分布体表的脏腑经络循环路线中，对气血汇聚、转输与出入之所的特定处所给定的名称，既是疾病的反应点，又是针灸推拿等医学临床的刺激点。腧穴在《黄帝内经》中又称节、会、气穴、骨空，《针灸甲乙经》称孔穴，《太平圣惠方》称穴道，《太平圣惠方》有称做“穴道”,《铜人腧穴针灸图经》通称为“腧穴”,《神灸经纶》则称为“穴位”。

中文古文中，“腧、输、俞”三字可相通，发音（shù ㄕㄨˋ），但使用时各有所指。“腧穴”是指穴位的统称；腧与「输」通,有转注输注的含义，指经气的转输如同水流的转输灌注；穴有孔隙的意思，指经气所居留之处在筋骨肌肉的空隙间。“输穴”指五腧穴（井荥输经合）中的第三个穴位；“俞穴”是指募俞穴中的背俞穴，即脏腑之气输注于背部的穴位。

Acupuncture points (Chinese:腧穴 or Chinese:穴位, also called acupoints) are locations on the body that are the focus of acupuncture, acupressure, sonopuncture and laser acupuncture treatment. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, several hundred acupuncture points are claimed to be located along what practitioners call meridians. There are also numerous "extra points" not associated with a particular meridian.
