Brandbu

Brandbu is a village in the municipality of Gran in Oppland county, Norway.
Brandbu is located in the traditional district of Hadeland. It was earlier known as "Augedalsbro" (Bridge at Augedal). Locals still commonly refer to the village as "Brua" (the bridge). Brandbu was a parish (sogn) in earlier times and later a municipality of its own. The municipality of Brandbu was merged with the municipality of Gran on January 1, 1962. Today Brandbu is part of the urban area called Brandbu/Jaren.
