Bliżyn

Bliżyn [ˈbliʐɨn] is a village in Skarżysko County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Bliżyn. It lies on the Kamienna river and Bliżyn Reservoir, approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) west of Skarżysko-Kamienna and 27 km (17 mi) north of the regional capital Kielce. The village has a population of 2,000.
