日本武尊（ヤマトタケルノミコト，72年－113年）乃日本神话人物，《古事记》作倭建命，《风土记》作倭武天皇，本名小碓尊，另有日本武、大和武等称号。传说他力大无穷，善用智谋，于景行天皇期间东征西讨，为大和王权开疆扩土。最后虽英年早逝，而无继承皇位，但子嗣为今日天皇之直系祖先。

Yamato Takeru 日本武尊
Prince Yamato Takeru(ヤマトタケルノミコトYamato Takeru no Mikoto), originally Prince Ōsu(小碓命Ōsu no Mikoto), was a Japanese legendary prince of the Yamato dynasty, son of Emperor Keiko, who is traditionally counted as the 12th Emperor of Japan.
The story of his life and death are told principally in the Japanese chronicles Kojiki (712) and Nihon Shoki (720), but also mentioned in Kogo shūi (807) and some histories like the Hitachi no Kuni Fudoki(常陸国風土記) (721). One of his sons became Emperor Chūai, the 14th Emperor of Japan.
