车床，又称镟床，是一种将加工物固定在一旋转主轴上加工的工具机。1797年英国人亨利·莫兹利发明了车床，通常用在圆柱型态的工件加工。一般车床配备各种专用刀具，可完成内外圆加工、钻孔、车螺纹、切断车槽、端面加工、车外圆、钻中心孔、车孔，铰孔、车圆锥、车成形面、滚花、盘绕弹簧等加工进程。
