草木灰

草木灰是柴草燃烧后残留的灰烬物质，属碱性，主要成分是碳酸钾（K₂CO₃）。可用做肥料。

在化学肥料普遍使用前，农家的草木灰是指由山草、禾秆和树枝等燃烧煮食后的灰烬，注意：不包括由煤所产生的煤灰。肥料的制作通常是每日把一层草木灰，一层食后产品的方式叠加，经数月后成熟便可使用。

最盛产草木灰的地方为位于北部埃塞俄比亚阿法尔州的达洛尔，每年能生产140至150万吨草木灰。
