大型铁身帆船（英文：windjammer），顾名思义是一种船身用铁或钢制的大型帆船。其英文「windjammer」的意思为「to jam the wind」，即「破风」的意思。主要在十九世纪晚叶用来运送货物。

大型铁身帆船最大的特点是有三至五支桅杆及大型方帆，是历史上最大型的货运帆船，排水量动辄就是数千公吨，而在当时的德国制帆船中，大多都有100米长及重约3000公吨。可是，它们的造价比用木制船身的同类帆船为便宜，原因有三个，其一是它用强度较大的铁制造，于是可以制造出比木船大的船身，比较符合经济效益，而铁造的船身比木船所占的空间为小，腾出来的空间可以载运更多的货物。而且，在同样大小的船身上，铁制的比木制的维护费用为低，因为木较容易被蛀蚀。

A windjammer is a type of large sailing ship, with an iron, or for the most part, steel hull, built to carry cargo in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Windjammers were the grandest of merchant sailing ships, with between three and five large masts and square sails, giving them a characteristic profile.
