White hole
It's believed that a wormhole is a combination of black and white holes. That is, on the other side of a black hole, there's a white hole. If you go into a black hole, you won't become the stuff coming out of the white hole. White holes in nature are as impossible as a thing can be, while still being technically possible. So even if a white hole did somehow occur, it would be incredibly unstable. White holes only exist in math. And if white holes existed, that's essentially what they'd do. So why does anyone think white holes might exist in the first place? (INTRO) In theory, white holes are black holes that are going backwards. In reality, a white hole would violate the second law of thermodynamics. So a real white hole would probably only last for a few seconds before it collapsed in on itself to become a black hole.

White hole 白洞![]() ![]() In general relativity, a white hole is a hypothetical region of spacetime which cannot be entered from the outside, although matter and light can escape from it. In this sense, it is the reverse of a black hole, which can only be entered from the outside and from which matter and light cannot escape. White holes appear in the theory of eternal black holes. In addition to a black hole region in the future, such a solution of the Einstein field equations has a white hole region in its past. However, this region does not exist for black holes that have formed through gravitational collapse, nor are there any known physical processes through which a white hole could be formed. No white hole has ever been observed. Also, the laws of thermodynamics say that the net entropy in the universe can either increase or remain constant. This rule is violated by white holes, as they tend to decrease entropy. |
