温州话（[ʔy tɕiɤu ɦo],Wenzhouese），为中国东南沿海城市温州市住民所讲的一种南部吴语，被认为是中国最难学的方言。无论是发音、词汇、还是句法上都与汉语普通话有着较大的差别。甚至，温州吴语在该些方面与北部吴语以及其他吴语方言也有较大差异，已无法与其他吴语方言沟通。有部份人认为，吴语是汉藏语系下的一个语支而非语言，温州话和其他吴语虽有较大的渊源，但已属于不同言语。

广义的温州话在学术上又称作瓯语（[ʔɑu njy],Au Chinese, Auish），指的是所有瓯语方言的集合体，温州市的瓯江下游、飞云江和鳌江流域，以及丽水、台州的部分市镇，可以细分为瑞安话、乐清话、虹桥话、平阳话等等。使用人口500万左右。瓯语内部差异较大，但能相互沟通。狭义的温州话指的是温州鹿城口音。

Wenzhounese (simplified Chinese:温州话; traditional Chinese:溫州話; pinyin:wēnzhōuhuà), also known as Oujiang (simplified Chinese:瓯江话; traditional Chinese:甌江話; pinyin:ōujiānghuà) or Dong'ou (東甌), is the speech of Wenzhou, the southern prefecture of Zhejiang, China. Nicknamed the "Devil's Language" for its complexity and difficulty, it is the most divergent division of Wu Chinese, with little to no mutual intelligibility with other Wu dialects or any other variety of Chinese. It features noticeable elements of Min dialects, which is spoken to the south in Fujian. Oujiang is sometimes used as the broad umbrella term, reserving Wenzhou for Wenzhounese proper in sensu stricto.
