结婚执照（英语：marriage license）是一种源于西方社会、主要由教会或政府签发的文档，用以批准婚礼的举行。结婚执照最先出现于中世纪，在当时，男女双方举行婚礼前必须按规定对外公布婚讯，或是在事前申领结婚执照，否则有关婚姻即属违法。历史上不同地方不同时代，对于申领结婚执照都有不同的办法和规定。

在现代，大部份地方在结婚举行前都无需申领结婚执照；事实上，不少国家也只设有结婚证书而没有结婚执照，两者的分别在于结婚证书是一对新人完婚后，才获发给的证明文档。至于在一些仍设有结婚执照的地方，申领结婚执照的主要目的是为了符合当地的相关法律规定。如果结婚执照在见证下由一对新人签署，也可被视作有关婚姻的纪录文档。在某些设有结婚执照的地方，结婚双方即使在未有申领结婚执照的情况下结婚，也可获得「赦免」；而另一些地方则同样承认普通法婚姻和同居婚姻（marriage by cohabitation by habit and repute）为合法婚姻。

A marriage license is a document issued, either by a church or state authority, authorizing a couple to marry. The procedure for obtaining a license varies between countries and has changed over time. Marriage licenses began to be issued in the Middle Ages, to permit a marriage which would otherwise be illegal (for instance, if the necessary period of notice for the marriage had not been given).
