上西里西亚（捷克语：Horní Slezsko; 德语：Oberschlesien; 拉丁语：Silesia Superior; 波兰语：Górny Śląsk; 西里西亚: Gůrny Ślůnsk）位于西里西亚区域之东南部；下西里西亚在西北边。自九世纪以来，上西里西亚按照时间顺序曾经属于大摩拉维亚、波希米亚王国、波兰、神圣罗马帝国、奥地利哈布斯堡王室、普鲁士王国以及后来统一的德意志帝国。目前上西里西亚被分割给波兰和捷克共和国。

上西里西亚位于西里西亚高地, 在上奥得河与上层维斯瓦河之间。上西里西亚工业区总人口是三百四十八万七千人。

Upper Silesia (Polish:Górny Śląsk; Silesian: Gůrny Ślůnsk; Czech:Horní Slezsko; German:Oberschlesien; Silesian German: Oberschläsing; Latin:Silesia Superior) is the southeastern part of the historical and geographical region of Silesia. Since the 9th century, Upper Silesia has been part of (chronologically) Greater Moravia, the Duchy of Bohemia, the Piast Kingdom of Poland, again of the Lands of the Bohemian Crown and the Holy Roman Empire, as well as of the Habsburg Monarchy from 1526. In 1742 the bulk of Upper Silesia was annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia, and in 1871 it became part of the German Empire. After the Second World War it became part of the Republic of Poland, in 1945.
