坦桑尼亚联合共和国（斯瓦希里语：Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania）位于赤道以南的东非国家，本土地处维多利亚湖和印度洋之间，北邻乌干达和肯尼亚，西与刚果民主共和国、卢旺达和布隆迪交界，南与马拉威和莫桑比克毗连，西南与赞比亚接壤。非洲最高峰吉力马札罗山位於坦尚尼亚境内。

1964年4月26日，两个国家坦干伊加、尚西巴合并，成立坦桑尼亚联合共和国。两国先前皆为英国殖民地，分别于1961年以及1963年独立。首都为多多马。1996年以前的旧首都位于三兰港，仍为坦桑尼亚主要的商业城市和大部分政府机关的所在地。三兰港也为坦桑尼亚的主要港口。

Tanzania /ˌtænzəˈniːə/, officially the United Republic of Tanzania or simply U.R.T (Swahili:Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania), is a large country in Eastern Africa within the African Great Lakes region. It is bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north; Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west; Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south; and by the Indian Ocean to the east. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, is in northeastern Tanzania.
