联合国秘书处（英语：United Nations Secretariat；法语：le Secrétariat des Nations unies）是联合国六个主要机构之一，与联合国大会、安全理事会、经济及社会理事会、托管理事会与国际法院共同维系联合国运作，是联合国主要的日常行政机构。秘书处的重要职责是拟定联合国各个合议与决策运行机构的议程，以及实际运行决策。秘书处的首长是联合国秘书长，由大会任命，一般也被视为联合国的行政首长。

秘书长的职权很广。第二任联合国秘书长道格·哈马绍曾如此描述秘书长的权力：「联合国由各会员国组成，但政府间行动与合作的空间，往往要倚赖秘书处牵成。……（联合国秘书处的）地位便由此而来。它能引介新知，也能在一定程度内采取主动。在各国政府发现前，它已先影响了世界的行动。」联合国政治事务部也隶属于秘书处，是联合国的外交部门；在秘书处下还设有联合国维持和平部队，是联合国的常态性武装部队，负责介入世界各地武装冲突地区，以行动促进和平。除此之外，秘书处也是联合国大会与安全理事会的幕僚，为两者提供经济与政治分析数据。

The United Nations Secretariat (French:le Secrétariat des Nations unies) is one of the six major organs of the United Nations (a) the General Assembly; (b) the Security Council; (c) the Economic and Social Council; (d) the defunct Trusteeship Council; and (e) the International Court of Justice. The Secretariat is the United Nations' executive arm. The Secretariat has an important role in setting the agenda for the UN's deliberative and decision making bodies of the UN (the General Assembly, Economic and Social Council, and Security Council), and the implementation of the decision of these bodies. Secretary-General, who is appointed by the General Assembly, is the head of the secretariat.
