国际天文学联合会（英语：International Astronomical Union，缩写为IAU；法语：Union astronomique internationale，缩写为UAI），由博士以上的专业天文学家所组成，积极参与天文学研究与教育。于1919年7月在比利时的布鲁塞尔成立，由当时的国际天文星图计划（Carte du Ciel）、太阳天文联合会（Solar Union）和国际时间局（Bureau International de l'Heure）等数个组织合并而成。其后，世界各国的国家级天文组织陆续加入，构成今日的规模。该会是国际科学理事会（ICSU）的国际科学联合成员，也是国际上承认的权威机构，负责统合恒星、小行星、卫星、彗星等新天体以及天文学名词的定义与英文命名。2014年7月10日宣布「外星世界命名」（NameExoWorlds）活动启动，开放公众参与系外行星的命名。

The International Astronomical Union (IAU; French:Union astronomique internationale, UAI) is a collection of professional astronomers, at the PhD level and beyond, active in professional research and education in astronomy. It acts as the internationally recognized authority for assigning designations to celestial bodies (stars, planets, asteroids, etc.) and any surface features on them.
