极左派，又称极左翼，是描述团体或个人政治立场在政治光谱中的位置极左。「极左」和「极右」也常意味着极端主义（Extremism）。有些极左团体不希望在现有制度架构下执政，这可能是与其他左倾团体不同之处。在某些国家，极左派是指**、社会无政府主义、**、左翼**主义、无政府工团主义等，而马列主义、托洛茨基主义、毛主义、霍查主义和一些女权主义、绿色政治、环境保护主义的分支也包含于极左派中。

「极左」和「极右」的名称一直存在着争议，因为这称呼是依照其政治立场来界定政治光谱上所在的位置。然而这是主观的判断，而且人们常常假设，比中间派还要激进的观点就是极端或错误的。
